According to the Ministry of Public Security, the Viet Nam Immigration Department (VNID) will provide APEC Business Travel Cards (ABTC) for Vietnamese businessmen for business trips abroad.
To obtain an ABTC, a Vietnamese businessman has to send his application form and effective visa to the VNID. He or she will receive his card after 24 days.
ABTC holders can stay for a maximum of 90 days per visit in any given APEC nation. An ABTC is valid for a period of three years.
So far, there are 17 countries and territories participating in ABTC program, including Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Chile, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Viet Nam.
