VN Wants Youth At APEC

Viet Nam has proposed that the APEC Business Advisory Council allow youths and students from Asia-Pacific Economic Forum (APEC) members to join in APEC Summit activities this November in Ha Noi.

The Vietnamese delegation made the proposal at a recent council meeting in the Philippines, Hoang Van Dung, vice chairman of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, told reporters in Ha Noi Friday.

He said if the council agrees, the youths and students will visit industrial parks in Viet Nam and meet with CEOs and other council members at the APEC CEO Summit.

He added the council is working on proposals on capability improvement, finance, free trade, technology and other issues for the APEC leaders to discuss in their November summit.
