$4.48 million for young people to start up business in HCMC

Ho Chi Minh City Finance and Investment State owned Company yesterday signed an agreement to set up a fund worth VND100 billion (US$4.48 million) to assist young people to start up business.

The agreement was reached at the launching ceremony of a business startup program for the youth in the phase of 2016-2020 by the Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union, Student Association and Young Entrepreneur Association.
 
Secretary of the city Executive Committee of the Communist Youth Union Nguyen Manh Cuong said that the program aimed to connect young people with startup ideas and assist them to promote their strengths.
 
He called on the youth and students in the city to promote dynamism, creativeness and enterprise to make their private startup aspirations a business startup community and a motive force in the country.
 
Appreciating the program’s idea, permanent deputy secretary of the HCMC Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang proposed city executive agencies to set up specific assistance mechanisms in capital and investment procedures so that the young can take opportunities to start their own business.
 
At the ceremony, Secretary of the committee Dinh La Thang and other leaders of the city visited and listened to startup project ideas of the young.
