Aviation watchdog pulls plug on ailing private carrier

The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) has asked the Ministry of Transport to suspend Indochina Airlines’ operations in the new year because of its poor financial state.

Reports by the carrier’s partners like the Southern and Northern Airports Corp., said its debts have topped VND30 billion (US$1.57 million).

Vietnam’s first private carrier has not furnished any financial reports to ensure it can continue operations despite the CAAV’s repeated demands.
