Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) officially inaugurated its new branch in an opening ceremony at its newly-built seven-story building in Ho Chi Minh City on March 23.
The branch, located at 71-73 Dien Bien Phu Street, Ward 15, Binh Thanh District, is the 63rd branch of the Ho Chi Minh City-based bank’s network and the second in this district.

“We have seen increasing demand for our banking services in the district. That’s why we open another branch in Binh Thanh,” said ACB deputy general director Nguyen Thanh Toai.
Services available at the new branch include deposits, lending, domestic and international payments, bank card services, and money transfer between Viet Nam and other countries, he said. The branch is linked to the bank’s network via a dedicated line to ensure the availability of home banking, phone banking and mobile banking services.
He added his bank would use the upper stories of the building to house the information technology department, a real estate center and a bank card center. The top floor space will be offered for lease.
ACB, which the Financial Times’ The Banker magazine selected as Viet Nam’s Bank of 2005 last September, reports its current property at almost VND27 trillion (or US$1.7 billion). The total deposit exceeds VND23.9 trillion (a little over US$1.5 billion) and the total outstanding loan is over VND9.7 trillion (more than US$612.6 million). The bank was set up in 1994.
