Maritime Bank to take over MDB in August

The State Bank of Vietnam has made a decision to merge Mekong Development Bank (MDB) into Vietnam Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank from August 12 this year.

The merged bank will have a total chartered capital of VND11.8 trillion (US$541.29 million), of these VND8 trillion belongs to Maritime Bank.

Its total asset value will reaches VND113 trillion (US$5.18 billion) and human resource will hit 5,000 people.

Maritime Bank prepares to issue 375 million shares to swop for MDB shares at the ratio of 1:1.
