The second biggest cement assembly line was operated in the Cong Thanh Cement Plant on December 27 in the central province of Thanh Hoa.
Currently being built for a planned capacity of 12,000 tons of clinker per day or 3.6 million tons of cement a year, the Cong Thanh Cement Plant is expected to be a major production facility in the Southeast Asian nation. The assembly line is equipped with German’s most advanced technology with total investment capital of US$420 million.
So far, the Cong Thanh Cement Plant has two assembly lines with total capacity of 15,000 tons of clinker per day or 6 million tons of cement yearly. It can be considered as the biggest cement plant in Vietnam.
Nguyen Cong Ly, chairman of Cong Thanh Corporation’s management board said that in 2016, Cong Thanh Corporation will sign agreement with its partners to distribute the product including 70 percent for local demand and 30 percent for export to Asian countries. He promised to push up production in accordance with the Prime Minister's request to provide customers at reasonable prices.
