Binh Duong grants 19 new investment certifications

The People’s Committee of Binh Duong province yesterday granted 19 investment certifications for the first phase of 2018 to domestic and foreign -invested enterprises.

19 newly projects which received the certifications include 15 projects with foreign direct investment (FDI) capital and four domestic projects. 

Since the January of 2018, Binh Duong has attracted US$ 435 million of FDI capital including 31 new projects with total registered capital hitting nearly US$ 234 million, 13 projects registered to adjust investment capital with total capital of US$ 141.5 million and 18 foreign investors contributed capital of nearly US$ 60 million.

Currently, Binh Duong province is ranked second after Ho Chi Minh City in FDI attraction and is estimated to reach 12.98 percent of total investment capital of the country. 
The projects were licensed with the huge investment capital such as logistics services business project, industrial real estate project of Warburg Pincus Finance Corporation and Becamex IDC Corp (Bau Bang and My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park) with total capital of US$ 135.2 million, Far Eastern Export Clothing Factory Project with total investment capital of US$ 25 million; factory project of Liang Chi Vietnam Co., Ltd with the total capital of nearly US$ 6 million…

Manufacturing and processing industries are ranked the first in list of investment attraction with total capital of US$ 274 million. 

The Netherlands is the biggest investor of Binh Duong with total capital of US$ 135.8 million, and South Korea and Taiwan are the second and third biggest investors in the province respectively.  

The People’s Committee of Binh Duong signed a memorandum of understand (MOU) about cooperation to organize the World Technopolis Association (WTA) and a contract for rent to expand the Bau Bang Industrial Park.
