Bulgaria & Vietnam to strengthen further investment cooperation

The Vietnam- Bulgaria business forum was held in Ho Chi Minh City on October 19 under the chair of Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Trade turnover between Vietnam and Bulgaria reached over US$ 96 million from January to October, increasing 88 percent compared to 2015.

The economic experts said that the event will expand trade cooperation chance between two nations.

The Directorate-General for Customs reported that Vietnam’s major goods have been exported to Bulgaria being cotton yarn, coffee bean, natural rubber, rice, electronic accessories and tobacco. Meanwhile, Vietnam has imported  scrap iron, clay, chemical, new pharmaceuticals and drug for animal from the European country.

In order to reach the result, around 77 enterprises of the two countries signed cooperation agreements last year.

Currently, Vietnam has received 11 projects from Bulgaria with total capital of over US$ 58 million.
