The evaluation was issued by Ms. Le Thanh Thao, representative of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) office in Vietnam at the second international conference on eco industrial parks in Vietnam, hosted by UNIDO and the Ministry of Planning and Investment, yesterday.
The conference is within the framework project Eco-Industrial Park Initiative for Sustainable Industrial Zones in Vietnam financed by Global Environment Fund and the Swiss Government.
According to Ms. Thao, a total of 72 businesses have applied technical measures to reduce 24,882 tons of CO2 and save 429,000 cubic meters of water and 18 million kWh electricity a year since May 2015.
