Car import strongly increases in yearend

The import number of Completely Built-Up (CBU) cars sharply increased at the end of the year, reported the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
Comprared to the previous week, it increased over 37 percent on December 14-20. Specifically, nearly 3,900 cars worth US$81 million were imported. Of these, over 93 percent were from Thailand, Indonesia and Japan.
In addition, import of auto parts and components also moved up 14 percent.
