The sixth China-Viet Nam Border Trade Fair will be held in He Khou in China’s Yunnan province from November 8 to 17.
Vietnamese companies have booked 100 of the more than 600 pavilions and booths at this year’s fair.
During the event, the authorities of Yunnan and Viet Nam’s Lao Cai province will meet to assess the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding they signed at last year’s fair in China.
They will also discuss proposals for boosting trade between the two border provinces like simplifying the entry and exit formalities, issuing visas to citizens of third countries at the border crossing, constructing a bridge over the Red River, extending and improving the railway line, and building a footpath across the border.
The annual border fair, which started life in 2001, is held rotationally between China and Viet Nam.
