Dairy businesses asked to eliminate ads out of prices

The Pricing Management Department of the Ministry of Finance yesterday sent a document to departments of finance asking to liaise with other departments to request milk businesses to eliminate advertising cost out of price.

Accordingly, departments of finance, health, taxation and market management must ask dairy businesses not to add advertising cost into the price of milk products for babies under 24 month old. Businesses are asked to make a list of new prices before  April 15.

In addition, related agencies must enhance inspection to pricing listing  and distributing fee of businesses. Via inspection, if violations are discovered, harsh penalties would be issued and the names of businesses would be announced on media.

Moreover, the Pricing Management Department also ordered dairy producers and businesses to  cut down on fees and prices of dairy products for children under six.
