Statistics from the department of Oversea Labor management under Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs showed the total number of workers sent abroad to work was 10,780 (of which 4,245 were women) in September.
China’s Taiwan is the leading market for Vietnamese laborers with 5,805 workers. Next, Japan with 2,464 workers, Malaysia with 920 workers, Saudi Arabia with 798 workers, the Republic of Korea with 472.
In the first nine months of this year, 90, 558 Vietnamese workers (of which 28,884 were women) were sent aboard for work, reaching 100, 62 percent of its yearly target, and 108, 62 percent compared to the same period last year.
The Ministry has recently required functional forces, foreign organizations and firms to up-to-date the total number of foreign workers in Vietnam.
