Aquatic agro-forestry export turnover reaches US$ 13.7bln

Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development said export turnover of aquatic fro-agriculture products in the first five months reached US$ 2.8billion, bringing total export value up to US$ 13,7billion, an increase of 9.5 percent compared to last year.

Of these, export value of agricultural products was US$ 7.3billion, an increase of 12.6 percent; aquatic products reached US$ 2.8billion, up 10.4 percent and forest products reported US$ 3.1billion in export revenue, up 9.4 percent.

China, the United States, Korea, Japan are leading markets of Vietnamese vegetable and fruit exports, accounting for 83.8 percent over total export value.

Rice exports increased in volume and value. As of, rice exports rise 1.6 percent in volume and 1.2 percent in value to reach US$ 1billion with a value of 2.3 million of tons.
