Exports jump by third to $64 billion

Vietnam’s exports have surged 32 percent this year, the highest rate since 1996, to US$64 billion.

It was helped partially by the Government’s instruction to banks to cut loans interest rates for manufacturing and exports and move to cut import tariffs on raw materials.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade said exports for this month are likely to be US$5.1 billion, or around the average monthly figure this year.
