A Nghe An-based producer of concentrated pineapple juice for export is busy buying passion fruits to produce concentrated juice to sell to the United States.
The company is paying passion fruit growers in the North Central coastal provinces between VND2,000 and 2,500 a kilogram for their produce.
Passion fruit vines grow easily in different soil types and bear fruit after just one year. Indeed, one hectare of the vines yields 80 tons of fruit annually.
