Ha Tinh's Fishermen get profit from undulated surf clams

In recent days, fishermen in Cam Xuyen, Ky Anh, Loc Ha districts of the central province of Ha Tinh have earned a huge profit from catching undulated surf clam.
 
Director of Management Board of Ha Tinh province’s fishing ports Bui Tuan Son said: “In the previous years, local fishermen have caught undulated surf but they have earned not higher than this year”.
 
On September 26, Cua Sot fishing port collected around 20 tons of undulated surf clams from local fishing boats with a cost of VND 150, 000 a kg.
 
Most of undulated surf clams were purchased by dealers before transporting to Mong Cai City in Quang Ninh province for export.
 
Chairman of the People’s Committee of Cam Linh commune in Cam Xuyen district Tran Dinh Lam said that over 100 fishing boats harvested big amount of undulated surf clams in May. 
 
After deducting all expenses, every owner fishing boat profited around VND 200- 300 million.
