The Can Tho chapter of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry has recently announced programs of the first Vietnam-Japan Cultural and Commercial Exchange to be held in the Mekong Delta from November 19 to 21 in Can Tho City.
A highlight of this event is the third investment conference in the Mekong Delta. Via this conference, the Mekong's provinces expect to call on investments for 62 projects, of which there are 24 agricultural, 19 industrial, 12 tourism, and 4 trading and services projects with total investment capital of US$4 billion.
According to the organizers, the event aims to introduce the Government and local authorities' preferential policies to investors, focusing on foreign trade promotion agencies and consulting companies.
It is expected to have around 70 booths featuring many sectors, including agriculture, aquiculture, industry, tourism, trade, services, cuisine, education and culture and attract 50,000 visitors including diplomatic missions, organizations, associations, trade promotion agencies and local people. Especially, around 80-100 Japanese enterprises will join this event.
