Minister seeks to bail out struggling trade villages

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat said at a conference Monday that he would propose a cut on export tax on some products and import tax on raw materials to help trade villages out of their present difficult situation.

He said he would also ask the Government to ease customs procedures and instruct banks to provide loans on easy terms to trade villages and write off old debts.

Many trade villages around the country are unable to find customers as a result of which thousands of workers here have been laid off.
