Ministry eliminates 12 steel production projects

The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced to eliminate 12 steel production projects nationwide.

Total productivity of 12 projects is to manufacture 1,350 tons of iron, ductile cast iron and 6,520 tons of tool steel a year. The Ministry said that it cleared out these projects because some of projects have small scale, others have slow pace, while others have incompetent investors. Especially, local administrators proposed to delete some projects.

These projects locate in the northern province of Lao Cai , Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Son La, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Ninh Binh, Hung Yen, the central province of Quang Binh, the southern province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and Hau Giang.
