Trade promotion programs given greenlight

Minister of Industry and Trade, Vu Huy Hoang, has initially approved 44 national programs for trade promotion in 2009, which will be developed by 21 organizations and agencies across the country.

Most of these programs focus on exhibitions, trade fairs, and foreign market surveys.

These activities will be supported with about VND63 billion ($3.62 million) from the State budget.

One of the largest programs will be an exhibition of Vietnam’ exports in Russia in September 2009, which will be granted VND4.5 billion by the State budget.

This event will be organized by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, which has 13 national trade promotion programs approved by the Minister.
