Vietnam –India Trade Turnover to reach US$ 15bln by 2020

Deputy Chairman of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VCCI) Vo Tan Thanh said at the meeting themed “Indian Trade & Chemicals Exhibition” that Vietnam-Indian trade turnover is expected to reach US$ 15billion by 2020.

In 2015, bilateral trade between Vietnam and India reached US$ 9billion. Vietnam’s key exports and imports to and from India were chemicals.

With stable trade policies and year-on year economic growth rate, the two countries have set a bilateral target of US$ 15billion by 2020.

India has many key sectors in science, technology, cosmetic and chemicals. Many major Indian enterprises in chemicals sector are seeking Vietnamese partners, added Mr. Thanh.
