Vietnam rubber export turnover may reach US$ 1.6bln

Vietnam rubber export is estimated to reach 1.1 million tons in 2015, a slightly increase of 3.2 percent in volume. Export turnover may reach US$ 1.6billion, a decrease of 10 percent compared to last year.

A report of the ministry of industry & trade shows that rubber export volume for the first nine months of this year hit 760,000 tons, reaching US$ 1.09billion, an increase 9.5 percent compared to last year in volume but decrease 11.6 percent in value.

Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Hoa, from the Vietnam Rubber Association said Vietnam rubber industry has currently faced high inventories and decreasing selling prices.

Export tax cut of 3 percent to 0 percent on Vietnam rubber industry will reduce pressure in Vietnam rubber enterprises, however, they have still met difficulties on VAT, added Ms. Hoa.
