VN & Australia promote mutual fruit trading

Australia and Vietnam recently have reached an agreement on fruit imports and exports;  accordingly, Australia will import Vietnamese dragon fruits and  the South-East Asian country will import cherry from Australia in the crop of 2017-2018.

Through mechanism of the forum on Vietnam-Australia Agriculture Dialogue, the two countries have established the conditions of bio-safety and safe agriculture products.
At the recent technique meeting in Ha Noi, the two sides have had a positive discussion to issue the timeline of accessing the top list  priorities agriculture products for trading.
The procedures relating to Vietnamese longan’s export to Australia is being promoted. Earlier,  the country had exported tropical fruits to the partner as lychee, mango. 
The two-way  trade turnover between Australia and Vietnam rises up to US$ 2.8 billion yearly in agriculture sector.
