ExxonMobil sells Vietnam oil business to Total

American oil and gas giant ExxonMobil agreed to sell the retailing arm of ExxonMobil Vietnam Holding Company Limited to French corporation Total under an agreement signed on October 1.

ExxonMobil will continue to explore for oil in Vietnam and supply lubricant to foreign ships and airlines stationed in Vietnam.

ExxonMobil’s operation will continue as normal during the transitional period which is estimated to take 3-4 months. Current commercial and labor contracts will remain valid.
