Handicraft plant built in Dong Thap

The People’s Committee of the mekong delta province of Dong Thap has just allowed Ba Hat Dong Thap Corporation to build the plant to produce the handicraft for export at My Hiep Industrial Zone in Cao Lanh district.

The plant covering an area of 3 hectares will process water hyacinth, sedge, bamboo's products for export. It is expected to get the first year’s capacity of 1.1 million  baskets or boxes made of water hyacinth, sedge or bamboo and next years will increase its capacity up to 15 to 30 percent.

The plant is set to complete its first phase in end 2016 and the second phase will be in 2017.
It is invested around VND 55billion.
