HCM City to form exporters association

The Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center is taking steps to establish an association for Vietnamese exporters by early next month.

The Vietnam Exporters Association will be open to all HCMC-based manufacturing companies, especially medium and small-sized ones, and firms that have exporting potential.

It aims to increase the competitiveness and export effectiveness of firms through its promotional activities, and help its members participate in the global supply system.

There are currently around 100 members registered for the association. Organizers expect that the number will rise to 300 by the end of this year and that there will be 200 more new members next year.
