Increase in two-way trade between Vietnam, UK

The Trade Office at the Embassy of Vietnam in the United Kingdom and North Ireland has reported increase in two-way trade between Vietnam and Great Britain with last year figure touching 2.73 billion pounds (US$4.37 billion), up 35.5 percent compared to the previous year.

Exports from Vietnam accounted for 2.44 billion pounds ($3.9 billion), an increase of 44.3 percent over the previous year, while imports touched 292.17 million pounds ($467.47 million), down 11.3 percent.

Vietnam mainly exports electrical machinery, electrical equipment, garments, footwear, engines, mechanical equipment, interior products, coffee, tea, spices, plastic, plastic products, leather products, and fish.

While imports include chemicals, nuclear reactors, boilers, engines, mechanical equipment, medicines, electrical machinery, electrical equipment, optical devices, photographic and cinematographic equipment, cattle feed, plastic, plastic products, rubber, and rubber products.
