Japanese investors eye on Danang’s investment environment

The central city of Danang and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) have jointly organized the 2018 Investment Promotion Conference in Danang.

It is also part of the city’s activities in 2018 aiming to mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between Vietnam and Japan.

The conference also is to popularize the city latest information of economy, people, infrastructure and other strategies to Japanese investors.

Around 100 delegates including representatives from the Japanese Embassy to Vietnam, Japan Business Association in Vietnam, Danang, domestic and Japanese enterprises attended in the event.

Deputy Chairman of Danang Ho Ky Minh said Vietnam in general, Danang in particular highly appreciated contribution of Japanese investors in the country’s socio-economic achievements. For the years, Danang leaders have affirmed Japanese investors have been top investors in the city.

As a result, Danang lured 670 FDI projects with total registered capital up to US$ 2.88billion. Of these, Japan invested 163 projects in the city worth US$ 675million.

Many investors’ ideas have been raised at the conference focusing on investment environment, development opportunities and start-ups in the city. Some investors said they would like to know more about investment information regarding to hi-tech sector, health, Tien Sa Port, Lien Chieu Port or workshops at industrial parks for small and medium sized enterprises…
