Non alcoholic beer made in Vietnam for first time

Saigon Binh Tay Beer Joint Stock Company introduced the first non alcoholic beer brewed in Vietnam on August 10.

The product containing less than 0.5 percent alcohol by volume is expected to reduce the risk of getting drunk due to low alcohol concentration in blood.

In the first phase, the company will produce five million liters per year. The price of Sagota non alcoholic beer accounts for 50-60 percent the price of import product, which is being sold at VND20,000-35,000 per can in the Vietnamese market.

Consumption trend of non alcoholic beer is on the rise in the world. In Spain, it occupies over 20 percent of consumption output.
