Over 100 cargo containers of Vietnam transported to Singapore

Vietnamese Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Xuan Phuc led a high ranking delegation to attend in the 33rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Singapore yesterday evening.

Within a framework of the event, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc had a meeting with Neil McGregor, President & Chief Executive Officer of Sembcorp Industry Group which is one of leading investors in Vietnam with nine Vietnam Singapore industrial parks (VSIP).

On the same day, the Vietnamese leader took part in the 2018 Vietnamese Goods Week in Singapore which was co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Saigon Union of Trading Co-operatives (Saigon Co.op) and NTUC FairPrice Co-operative Limited, aiming to promote Vietnamese high-quality goods in Singapore market.

As per report, the NTUC FairPrice and Saigon Co.op have transported more than 100 cargo containers of Vietnamese businesses to Singapore.

Speaking at the event, Minister of Trade and Industry Tran Tuan Anh said that the 2018 Vietnamese Goods Week is taking place in Singapore from November 13- 25. Nearly 700 products from domestic businesses are being showcased at 300 booths under NTUC FairPrice's distribution network. 

Representatives of NTUC FairPrice Group affirmed that Vietnam is currently the fourth largest agricultural products and foodstuffs exporter in the Singapore market. Over the past years, Vietnamese products have maintained stable market share and built trust in Singapore people.
