Petrol price drops over VND700 a liter

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade yesterday afternoon decided to reduce Ron 92 gasoline price by VND708 a liter to VND17,314.

Ethanol gasoline blend E5 price was slashed VND661 a liter to VND17,099. Diesel slid VND609 a liter to VND13,838 and kerosene dropped VND657 to VND12,177 a liter. Mazut oil fell VND528 to VND10,850 a kilogram.

The two ministries required businesses to keep the contribution level to the price subsidization fund unchanged.

On the same day, Vietnam National Petroleum Group posted Ron 92 price at VND17,090 a liter, diesel VND13,830, kerosene VND12,170 and mazut VND10,850.

That is the deepest price cut since early this year. On June 6, gasoline price slid about VND70 a liter.
