A liter of Ron 92 is now VND 22,690 and a liter of Ron 95 is VND 25,190, according to the Vietnam National Petroleum Group.
Engine oil price reduced VND 120 per kilogram and kerosene price remains unchanged.
The petrol price increase corresponds with the global market. A barrel of A92 gasoline topped US$117 from February 17 to March 18.
Subsidization will continue to be implemented to prevent the price from increasing any further, according to the Ministry of Finance.
This is the second increase in domestic petrol price in 2014. The last increase was on February 21 with VND 200-300 more per liter.
