Petrol prices up over VND500 per liter

The prices of RON 92 petrol and E5 bio-fuel increased VND518 and VND551per liter, respectively, as from 5 p.m. on April 5.

Prices of diesel oil, paraffin and mazut remain unchanged.

This is the second upward adjustment of petrol prices this year, pushing the cost up by more than VND1,170 per liter in total.

Following a joint decision issued by the ministries of Industry and Trade, and Finance, the ceiling prices of RON 92 petrol and E5 bio-fuel will be VND14,940 and VND14,442 per liter, respectively.

The maximum prices of diesel oil and paraffin are maintained at VND9,873 and VND8,905 per liter.

E5 bio-fuel and diesel oil were among commodities selected to be subsidized by the Price Stabilization Fund.
