Pig price goes up as traders snap up

A leader of the Department of Animal Health in the southern province of Dong Nai July 19 said price of pig in the province went up within three days as traders snapped up for selling in the North.

Price of pig increased from VND46,000 per kilogram to VND48,000 a kilogram. Averagely, it leaps VND500 to VND1,000 per kilogram a day; it is expected to escalate in next time because traders snap up to sell in the North where demand is high. Pig price in the North fluctuates from VND52,000 to VND54,000.
According to the Department, supply is stable in the province. Foreign-invested enterprises and giant farms are raising a large quantity of pig for satisfying market demand.
