Reference exchange rate goes down for third consecutive day

The State Bank of Vietnam continued to adjust the daily reference exchange rate down for the third straight day, setting the rate at 22,673 VND/USD on August 29, 5 VND lower than the rate on the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,353 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,993 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks were stable with some major banks maintaining the same rates as on the previous day.
Vietcombank is listing the buying rate at 23,255 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,335 VND/USD.
BIDV Techcombank is keeping its rates at 23,255 VND/USD (buying) and 23,335 VND/USD (selling).
At Techcombank, the greenback is being bought at 23,235 VND/USD and sold at 23,340 VND/USD.
