Starwood to manage, operate Sheraton Halong hotel

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has reached an agreement with Vietnam's Royal International Corporation to manage and operate Sheraton Halong Bay Resort in Quang Ninh Province, home to the famous bay.

The five-star hotel is owned by the Royal International Corporation, which has invested about US$31 million into the project.

Construction work started in June 2005. The 300-room hotel is scheduled to open this year.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts is one of the leading hotel and leisure companies in the world with more than 900 properties in over 100 countries.

Starwood currently operates Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers, Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, and Sheraton Nha Trang in Vietnam.
