The VND40.88 billion Sa Giang Import Export Corporation (Sagimexco) said it will officially bring its 4.08 million shares to list on the Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Center (HSTC) on September 5.
The company’s main product is its glutinous rice chupatty mixed with shrimp, crab, squid, and fish.
The Sa Giang brand has come into its own on the market since its inception in 1960. It has gradually occupied increasing domestic and international market share with its popular “Sa Giang shrimp rice powder” and other specialty products.
The company currently manufactures on a modern production line that meets the safety and quality certification standards of the 1997 EU Code HK129.
The Viet Nam stock market has attracted a large number of strong food-industry brands to list their stocks on the exchange. Currently, the HCM City exchange lists such food-industry giants as Bibica’s candy, Kinh Do’s sweet cake, Ha Long’s canned food, Tribeco’s soft drink, Vinamilk and now welcome shrimp rice powder of Sa Giang.
As the 49th stock on the bourse and the first Dong Thap-based company to list on the HSTC, Sagimexco brings the exchange’s total chartered capital to VND7.8 trillion and the market capitalization to VND40 trillion. Moreover, HSTC also has 370 kinds of bonds listed with the total value about VND55 trillion.
