The VN-Index Up Slightly to Just Over 927 Points

This morning, the Ho Chi Minh City bourse ended trading with a small gain rising 5.27 points to 927.02.  

Investors expect the market to surge again next year if the VN-Index climbs beyond the threshold of 965 points.

At the end of the trading this morning, a large volume of sell orders changed hands for  Phu My Fertilizer and Chemicals (DPM), Sacombank (STB) and Saigon Securities (SSI); specifically, for STB, 586,780 shares were sold; 539,370 shares of DPM changed hands at VND74,000.

Today’s session ended with 58 shares gaining and 43 losing. Among winners: Petro Vietnam Drilling and Well Services (PVD) gaining VND3,000; Hoa Phat (HPG), FPT (FPT Corporation), Tan Tao Industrial Zone (ITA), Kinh Do Food (KDC) and  REE Technology (REE) up by VND1000; and Vitaco (VTO) reached its ceiling price by climbing VND2,500.

Among losers, Vinamilk (VNM) dropped VND1,000 while Vinh Son Hydropower (VSH) fell VND300.
