Three more petrol stations penalized in HCMC

Le Manh Ha, deputy chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has issued heavy penalties and suspended operations of  three more petrol stations in the city that were indulging in fraudulent business practices.

Tran Quang Tuyen Private Company on Nguyen Huu Tri Street in Binh Chanh District was fined VND14 million (US$700) and suspension of operations from February 1 to July 5, 2012.

The Phu Hoang Private Company on Bau Cat Street in Tan Binh District was fined VND30 million ($1,500) and suspension of operations from February 1 to May 23, 2012.

Minh Dat Private Company in Binh Chanh District was fined VND30 million ($1,500) and suspension of operations from February 1 to April 25, 2012.

All the above three petrol stations were found selling low grade gasoline to customers.

To date, six out of the 11 petrol stations that were inspected have been fined for fraudulent business practices by the HCMC People’s Committee.
