According to a report released by the General Statistics Office yesterday, export turnover in September is expected to touch US$8.3 billion, a substantial decrease compared to last month’s $9.25 billion.
Vietnam has exported more than $70 billion worth during the last nine months of this year, 134.5 percent higher than the same period last year.
Major export goods were aquaculture, rice, coffee and cashew nuts.
The import turnover in September is expected to reach $9.3 billion, mostly with products such as liquefied gas, fuel, cotton wool and fertilizer. T
he country imported about $76.87 billion worth in the last nine months.
Trade deficit in September and for the last nine months has now touched $1 billion in exports and $6.84 billion in imports.
