Vegetable Export to Cambodia Booming

More than 70 tons of vegetables, including Chinese peas, colocynths, hot peppers, pumpkins, cucumber, onion and shallot, are exported from An Giang Province to Cambodia everyday, hitting a record high.

Of the quantity, 40 tons of vegetables are grown at An Phu District; 20 tons planted at Cho Moi District and the remains from Chau Phu and Chau Doc District.

To ensure the export supply chain, An Phu District has used more 150 hectares of cultivating land to grow vegetables.

Meanwhile, Cho Moi Province has planted vegetable in 17 communes and held training courses in vegetable growing for farmers.
