“Viet Nam days in the United Kingdom” is taking place in London from Wednesday to Saturday.
The event, mainly sponsored by Standard Chartered Bank, comprises seminars, forums on business, investment, financial services and tourism; meetings between the two countries’ enterprises and market surveys.
Viet Nam and the UK established diplomatic relations in 1973 and have developed the relationship in many areas.
In foreign direct investment, the UK is the third biggest investor of EU in Viet Nam with 68 projects and investment capital of US$2.2 billion. Since 90s, bilateral economic cooperation has increased sharply.
In the past 5 years, Viet Nam's export to the UK increased 25% a year, continued a trade surplus and ranked 42nd among exporters to the UK.
