Viet Nam Wins New Contract to Ship Rice to Japan

Vietnamese rice hits stores worldwide

The Viet Nam Commercial Bureau in Japan recently announced that Viet Nam has won another bidding to export 5,000 tons of rice to Japan, which will be delivered next year.

The average price for this tender is US$584 per ton.

So far this year, Viet Nam has won seven contracts via bidding to export more than 124,000 tons of rice to Japan, including 3,000 tons of sticky rice.

Last year, the country shipped over 79,000 tons to Japan, including 80 tons of sticky rice.
