Vietnam Industrial Zones 2013 (VietIZ 2013) opened at the Friendship Cultural Palace in Hanoi on November 28.
The Expo features 50 display booths of 45 local and foreign industrial zones, such as Viet Hung from Quang Ninh Province, the Management Board of Thua Thien Hue Industrial Parks, Vietnam-Russia Joint Venture Bank, and Ascendas-Protrade Singapore Tech Park in Ho Chi Minh City.
Exhibits include documents, maps, sand-tables introducing industrial zones, and services provided inside to help investors understand potentialities, advantages, and investment opportunities of industrial and economic zones.
VietIZ 2013 is a chance for enterprises and investors to meet partners and seek business opportunities, share experiences, and update latest information on policies and environment of industrial zones in Vietnam.
The seminar on promoting investment in industrial zones in Vietnam will be held to call for more investments in industrial zones.
Nguyen Van Trung, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, spoke at the opening ceremony of the Expo highlighting the important role of industrial zones in economic development. Industrial zones have made outstanding contributions to turnover, export value and industrial output; and created jobs for about two million people and contributed tens of thousands of billion dongs to the budget every year.
The event is being organized by the Vietnam Invest Network in association with Ministry of Planning and Investment and will run until November 30.
