Vietjet named among Forbes’ 50 best listed companies

The company was honoured for its business achievements in the first half of the year.

In the six month period, Vietjet earned more than 16.4 trillion VND (721.7 million USD) in total revenue and pocketed 1.79 trillion VND (78.8 million USD) in after-tax profit, up 45 percent from the same period last year.

The company’s Earning Per Share (EPS) was recorded at 5,737 VND.

By June 30, Vietjet’s total assets reached over 24.7 trillion VND (1.08 billion USD) and equity 7.3 trillion VND (321.2 million USD), year-on-year increases of 49.6 percent and 11.9 percent, respectively.

According to Forbes, the top 50 companies’ market capitalisation occupied more than 60 percent of the total market on the two bourses, the same as the previous year. Their total revenue stood at 734.8 trillion VND (32.3 billion USD), up 55 percent year-on-year, while their profits picked up 49 percent to 79.46 trillion VND (3.49 billion USD).

Forbes Vietnam’s top 50 best listed companies’ rankings acknowledge firms with the best business and financial performances listed on the local stock exchanges.
