Vietnam among top five Asian retail markets

Vietnam’s final consumption expenditure per gross domestic product has reached 70 percent, of these 90 percent is private consumption, making the country one of the top five development retail markets in Asia, said chairwoman of the Vietnam Retailers Association Dinh Thi My Loan.
 
However, foreign firms have strongly invested in Vietnam, putting local retailers in many challenges.
 
Many of local companies have showed weakness in long term development strategies, financial potential and logistics. Their warehouse system has been slim and delivery network unprofessional.
