The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)’s Ho Chi Minh City branch organized a conference bringing together Vietnamese and Korean businesses in the city on June 19.

Statistics shows that the ROK’s exports to Vietnam increased 60.5 percent in the 2015-2017 period while its imports from Vietnam was up more than 61 percent.
In the first two months of this year, the ROK’s exports to Vietnam valued US$7.5 billion, presenting a year-on-year increase of 28.1 percent.
South Korea has been the second-largest trading partner of Vietnam while the country has become the ROK’s fourth-largest trading partner.
The two countries expect the two-way trade turnover will reach US$100 billion by 2020, making Vietnam to become the 2nd largest destination for Korean products after China.
South Korea is the Largest Foreign Direct Investor in Vietnam with more than 6,760 projects worth US$59 billion.
