Vietnam’s five export items gain over U$ 10 bln in November

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam reported that there had been 27 commodities with their export turnovers of more than US$ 1 billion, of which eight export items reached over US$ 5 billion and five hit over $ 10 billion by November 2018.

The top commodities in term of export turnover are all types of phones and components with a value of US$ 46.1 billion, textile and garment achieved nearly US$ 27.8 billion, computers, electronic products and its components hit US$ 27.0 billion, machinery, equipment, tools, replacement parts reached US$ 15.12 billion and footwear gained US$ 14.52 billion.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the United States is currently Vietnam’s largest export market with its turnover of US$ 43.74 billion in the first 11 months of 2018, an increase of 15 percent over the same period of last year. 

Following the United States, the Europe Union reached US$ 38.28 billion, China achieved US$ 38.13 billion, ASEAN market gained US$ 22.69 billion, Japan reached US$ 17.09 billion and Korea reached US$ 16.89 billion.

Remarkably, the Vietnamese goods is being focused on traditional markets and broadening new potential markets via Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

The non-stop administration reform and favorable business environment for enterprises have been motivated domestic exporters as well as attracted more and more investment and boosted export activities.
